We're honored you're considering joining us. Below you'll find what to know and how to apply with care and at your pace.

Who Can Attend & How Are Families Selected

Who can attend

Submitting this form is an invitation to apply — not a guaranteed spot. Because space is limited, every application is carefully reviewed against our medical eligibility criteria, and families are selected on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • This event is for immediate family only (parents/guardians, siblings, and the child attending). If your family has a unique situation, please call or email us before applying.
  • Families may only attend once.
  • Children must be born in 2014 or later and must not have reached their 13th birthday by the event date.
  • Illness must be life-threatening, terminal, or result in permanent disability.
  • Child must be healthy enough to participate in a full-day experience.
  • Parent or guardian releases are required.
  • Hospital or physician contact information may be needed for verification.
  • Spaces are limited. Families are selected based on meeting medical eligibility criteria on a first-come, first-served basis.

Sensory considerations

Our event may include therapy dogs and miniature horses, loud noises, bright lights, and other sensory elements. Please let us know during registration so we can prepare and support your family.

Accessibility

There is limited space available for permanent wheelchairs on the train ride. Please contact Operation North Pole for more information before registering.

What to expect

A full day of joy

Once your family is selected, you will be greeted personally, ride our holiday train, meet Santa, enjoy food and entertainment, take family photos, and head home with gifts and keepsakes. The day is built around your family, with rest spaces, support, and zero pressure.
